How to fertilize the Venus flytrap

How to fertilize the Venus flytrap

Fertilization method

In fact, it does not have much demand in this regard. It only needs to be fertilized every 15 days or so during its growing season. You can buy its special fertilizer.

Its root system is relatively fragile, so try to stay away from the roots when fertilizing. You can pour it slowly along the edge of the pot, or you can dilute the fertilizer and then spray it on the surface of the plant. It stops growing in winter, so do not fertilize it, otherwise it will be harmed.

If planted outdoors, the fertilization method can be the same as that for potted plants, but no fertilization is required. Because it is grown outdoors, it can trap insects to solve its own nutritional problems. It will decompose and digest the captured insects and absorb all the juice in the insects' bodies. Some friends put some fishy fish and shrimp in front of it, which can attract some flying insects to gather here and then be trapped by it, so there is no need to fertilize.

Precautions

They only eat live insects, especially those they like to catch themselves. Many friends directly catch some insects and "feed" them to them, but often the insects will open their "mouths" before they are digested. Also, you should not allow it to "eat" insects excessively, as this will cause damage to its "mouth", the edges of which will slowly turn black and it will lose the ability to catch insects.

Okay, now you know how to use fertilizer for this kind of grass. I don’t need to tell you the joy of growing it well. Friends who are good at sharing can recommend it to others.
