You can just take out the seeds of roadside flowers and plant them. Here are the methods!

Petunia

Huahua has to pass a large intersection every time she goes to work. There are many petunias in the flower beds on the roadside. If she goes to the roadside to get some seeds in the autumn, she can grow a pot of petunias at home!

Sowing steps:

1. Fill the seedling box or small cup with soil, then soak it in the carbendazim solution for more than 24 hours, then take it out and let it dry for 2-3 hours, and water it thoroughly before sowing.

2. Prepare the petunia seeds picked up from the roadside.

3. Plant petunia seeds in the seedling box. Because petunia seeds are relatively small, you can use a small spoon to scoop them onto the soil when sowing.

4. After sowing, water it to keep the soil moist; then cover it with a lid and place it in a place with bright scattered light, but avoid direct sunlight.

5. Petunia seeds will germinate 4-5 days after sowing.

6. After 10-15 days of sowing, all petunia seeds have sprouted.

7. One month after sowing, the petunia seedlings will grow up.

8. After transplanting into the pot, the soil must be loose and breathable nutrient soil. You can mix peat soil and perlite in a ratio of 2:1. After potting, water it thoroughly once.

9. Place the petunia on the south balcony or south windowsill where the sun is directly exposed. Water it with rice water on a regular basis. About 2 months after sowing, the petunia will bloom!

Mirabilis jalapa

There is a large patch of Mirabilis jalapa downstairs at Huahua Company. It is now in the seed-bearing period. You can take a walk downstairs when you have nothing to do and pick a handful of seeds!

Sowing steps:

1. The seeds of Mirabilis jalapa are relatively hard. In order to make them germinate quickly, it is best to soak them in warm water for about 24 hours.

2. Prepare the seedling boxes needed for sowing, plant the soaked seeds directly in the soil, and cover them with about 1 cm of soil.

3. About 10 days after sowing, the Mirabilis jalapa seeds will sprout.

4. Wait for another half a month after germination. When the Mirabilis jalapa grows true leaves, you can choose to transplant it into a flowerpot and continue to maintain it.

5. Place the Mirabilis jalapa in the sun and take good care of it. Add some fish tank water and rice water to supplement nutrients. In about 1-2 months, the Mirabilis jalapa will bloom!

pansy

In the green belts along the roadside, apart from petunias, there are basically pansies. Because the flowers come in three colors: purple, white and yellow, they are called pansies. When you go out for exercise, you can pick up a handful of seeds and take them home!

Sowing steps:

1. After the pansy blooms, the seeds are basically hidden in that small triangle. Take the entire triangle home and peel it open to reveal the hidden seeds of the pansy.

2. Dig out the pansy seeds and place them on a moist paper towel to germinate. It only takes about a day for the pansy to sprout.

3. Prepare the soil for sowing. The soil must be loose and breathable. You can soak it in a carbendazim solution for 24 hours, then take it out and dry it. Finally, plant the pansy seeds after germination.

4. Sow the pansy seeds and wait for about 10 days, then you can see pointed little buds emerging from the pansy.

5. When the pansy grows 2-4 pairs of true leaves, you can transplant it into a flowerpot and continue to care for it.

6. If you have a yard at home, it is best to place the pansy in the yard to receive sufficient sunlight, and then water it about once every 5-7 days to ensure that the soil is slightly moist. Soon the pansy will grow out of the pot!

Cosmos

Every time Huahua sees the large patches of cosmos in the park, she really wants to dig one up and take it home, but we can’t destroy the park environment! Since you can’t dig up the cosmos and bring it home, just pick some seeds and plant them!

Sowing steps:

1. Prepare the cosmos seeds you brought home from the roadside.

2. Prepare the soil for sowing. Any loose and breathable soil will do. Plant the cosmos seeds and then water them thoroughly.

3. After 5-8 days of sowing, you can see small buds emerging from the cosmos.

4. Half a month after sowing, the cosmos seedlings will grow bigger and taller. If you want the cosmos to bloom as quickly as possible, you can pinch the tops of the flowers continuously during the growing season.

5. It will take about 40 days for the planted cosmos to bloom and fill the pot! Isn’t it very simple?

In addition to the above, there are many flower seeds that can be obtained in parks or on the roadside, such as:
