How Tia reproduces

How Tia reproduces

Reproduction method

Beheading

"Beheading" is actually a more popular term, which actually means the branch cutting method. Branch cuttings are to cut off the top stems of Tia and dry them for later use. Mix gravel and humus soil evenly and spread them in a culture dish. Gravel is conducive to the strong air permeability of the soil environment. The branches with healed wounds will not rot when inserted into the soil. Next, just wait patiently for the miracle to sprout.

Leaf cutting method

From the literal meaning, it means propagation by leaves. The method is to pick a leaf that does not need to be too carefully selected. It is also the same cultivation environment as the "beheading method". There are two ways to choose. One is to place the leaf directly on the soil, and the second is to insert it into the soil at a slightly tilted 45-degree angle. It is a very simple operation, and the rest is left to time.

Precautions

The method of Tia reproduction is very simple, but the cultivation environment is also very important, which reflects the success rate. It is best to choose a relatively bright indoor environment and avoid direct sunlight, which is more conducive to rooting and germination.

In short, the "beheading method" is the way most succulents reproduce, and this method is also applicable to Tia. In addition to this method, Tia can also be propagated by conventional leaf cuttings, and the success rate of rooting and germination is also relatively high.
