How to grow Yunnan Echeveria

How to grow Yunnan Echeveria

1. Breeding environment

1. Watering: Keep the soil dry during the growth period of Yunnan Stone Lotus and do not need excessive watering. Excessive watering will cause the stems and leaves to grow too long, especially in a low temperature environment. If there is water accumulation, it will cause root rot. In addition, when the temperature is relatively high in summer, you should also reduce watering and avoid rain.

2. Light: It should be given sufficient light during the growth period. If the light is insufficient, the leaves will become thinner and the leaf color will become lighter. In winter, it should be placed in a sunny place indoors for maintenance.

3. Fertilization: Apply thin liquid fertilizer every 20 days during the growth period of Yunnan Echeveria. Be careful when applying fertilizer so as not to splash it onto the leaves. Try to apply fertilizer in the morning and evening on sunny days. Stop fertilizing when the temperature is high.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Leaf cutting propagation: Select healthy and disease-free leaves and place them flat on the substrate. The leaves should face up and the backs of the leaves should face down, and there is no need to cover them with soil. Place it in a cool place and it will grow new roots in about 10 days.

2. Propagation by branch cuttings: If you are indoors, you can do it in all seasons, but the survival rate is highest in August to October. You can use top branches or suckers for cuttings, but you have to wait until the wound is dry before inserting it into the soil. If the wound remains moist it will cause rot. The cuttings will take root in about 20 days.
