How to water potted plum blossoms

How to water potted plum blossoms

Watering newly transplanted plum blossoms

Newly transplanted plum blossoms should be placed in a semi-shaded place and watered thoroughly. They can then be watered in the normal way after 10 days.

Watering in autumn and winter

From October to March of the following year, the temperature will slowly drop from a suitable level. You can water the plants every other day. Then as the temperature slowly drops, the intervals should also be increased to a few more days. During this period, just keep the soil moist. When the potted plum blossoms are in bloom, you should increase the amount of watering appropriately. The soil must not be allowed to become dry and white, as this will seriously affect flowering. During the most prosperous period of blooming, you should slowly water the plants with less water. This can effectively extend the blooming time of the flowers.

Watering in spring and summer

From April to July, the amount of watering should be gradually increased during this period. However, in order to prevent the plum blossoms from growing too tall, the soil should be kept on a dry state. Do not water if it is not dry. If it rains, delay watering.

From August to September, the temperature is high, the sunlight is strong, and the evaporation of water will increase. The plum blossoms should be watered almost every day. It is best to water them in the morning. If the soil is dry by the evening, you can water them once. The watering time can be determined according to the state of the soil. Water them once when the soil is slightly dry. This can also effectively prevent the plum blossom leaves from falling off. You can also often spray water on the leaves and the surrounding ground after sunset.

Plum blossoms are actually very afraid of waterlogging, so you must water them in moderation on a daily basis.
