What to do if white bugs grow on Jade Plants

Scale insects

The first possibility is "scale insects", which mainly harm the leaves, branches and other parts of the plant, so if it is this type of insect, we may find them in these parts.

To prevent and control this kind of insects, if the number is not too large, we can directly remove them with a toothpick. However, if the number is so large that we cannot remove them quickly, the first choice is to spray some pesticides, such as 750 to 1,000 times the solution of Aphid, once every two or three weeks. However, this method may cause soil contamination. Of course, if you want to eliminate pests, you can also use their natural enemies to strengthen prevention and control, which will cause less harm to plants and soil than liquid medicine. The next step is to strengthen maintenance and management, such as applying fertilizers reasonably and scientifically to enhance the plant's disease resistance; you can also prune regularly and enhance ventilation.

aphid

The second type of insects are "aphids", which often appear on the leaves, terminal buds or tender stems of the Jade Plant. They will suck the sap from the plant, and in severe cases, it can cause the branches and leaves to wither or even the death of the entire plant. Because it reproduces very quickly, it can cause great harm and must be discovered and controlled early.

To deal with this kind of insects, we must first cut off and treat the parts that are infested by the insects. In addition, some insecticides should be sprayed, such as aphid-killer, imidacloprid, etc. However, it should be noted that because aphids are highly resistant to pesticides, we can use multiple liquids alternately.
