Sowing seeds of fortune tree

The germination rate of money trees sown through seeds is actually quite high, and money trees grown from seeds are harder and easier to maintain.

Sowing steps

1. As long as the temperature is kept above 20 degrees, the money tree can be planted in all seasons. Flower lovers in the south who don’t have heating should pay special attention!

2. Pick the mature seed pods of the money tree, gently knock the seed pods open, and you can see the small seeds inside.

3. Spread the seeds of the money tree in a cool and ventilated place, let them dry for a while, then soak them in a solution of carbendazim for 10 minutes to sterilize and disinfect them.

4. Plant the seeds of the money tree in the soil with the pointed end facing down. Cover the surface of the seeds with 1-2 cm of soil. The planting soil can be peat soil or peat + perlite.

5. Water thoroughly and place it in a well-ventilated place with diffused light. Do not water it until it is dry. After about 10 days, you will see the seedlings sprout!

6. Transplant the seeds when they have 4-5 leaves, apply fertilizer once a month, and change the pot once a year. When they grow to a certain height, you can braid several plants together.

Succulent

Once succulents bloom, we often cut them off. In fact, it is okay not to cut them off. Let them cross-pollinate and produce seeds, and then you can reproduce a lot of succulents! However, the seeds are very, very small, so be careful when collecting them!

Sowing steps

1. Prepare succulent seeds, seedling boxes, carbendazim, and sowing soil.

2. First sprinkle a layer of expanded clay on the bottom of the seedling box, then mix the sowing soil evenly and put it into the seedling box. The soil for sowing can be prepared according to the ratio of peat soil: rice husk charcoal: vermiculite: Akadama soil = 1:1:1:1.

3. Pour carbendazim powder into the box at the bottom of the seedling box, and then pour in clean water, about 90% full.

4. Place the grid filled with soil on top of the grid containing the carbendazim solution, and allow water to soak the soil through the holes at the bottom.

5. After 10 minutes, the soil is completely soaked and the carbendazim solution in the bottom box is poured out.

6. Find an A4 paper, fold it in half, pour the succulent seeds on the white paper, dip a toothpick in water, and place the seeds one by one on the soil layer. If you find it troublesome, you can also pour them directly on the net, but be more even and do it in windless conditions. Be careful that the seeds are blown away by the wind.

7. Succulent seeds are small and generally do not need to be covered with soil. After planting, cover them with a lid and place them in a well-ventilated place with scattered light. Avoid direct sunlight. If the surface soil is dry, spray water to keep it moist.

8. After about 1-2 weeks, the seeds will begin to germinate. When all the seeds have germinated, you can remove the lid and gradually let the succulents bask in the sun.

9. After about a month, the succulents will start to grow cute leaves!

asparagus

The flowers of asparagus fern are dotted and very beautiful, and the small fruits are also very cute. Moreover, one of these small fruits can be used to grow a small asparagus fern!

Sowing steps

1. If you want asparagus fern to sprout, you have to choose the ones that are ripe, black, hard when pinched, and the size of mung beans.

2. Pick the ripe seeds, clean them, and soak them in water for half an hour to an hour to soften the skin so that the small sprouts will be easier to sprout.

3. Prepare loose and fertile leaf mold or peat soil and put it into the flowerpot as planting soil for asparagus fern.

4. Sprinkle the asparagus fern seeds evenly in the pot, then cover the seeds with a 2-3 cm layer of soil, water them thoroughly, and cover them with a plastic bag to keep them moist.

5. Open the plastic bag and ventilate for 3 hours at noon every day, spray water every day to keep the soil moist, and the seeds will germinate in about 20-30 days! After germination, remove the plastic bag and place it in a well-lit and ventilated place for maintenance.

6. Maintain a watering frequency of 100% when the soil is dry and keep the environment well-lit and ventilated, and the young asparagus fern will grow little by little.

7. When the small asparagus ferns have spreading leaves, we can transplant several of them into other pots.

8. In this way, you will soon become a big asparagus fern grower! Moreover, the asparagus fern you grow yourself is hardy and easy to grow, and it can easily climb all over the wall!
