Cypress has good drought resistance, prefers warm environment, has a certain degree of cold resistance, and is not resistant to wind. The lowest temperature it can generally withstand is above minus 10 degrees Celsius. The most suitable growth temperature is around 13-19 degrees.

Cypress likes a humid environment, but is afraid of waterlogging. Generally, it needs to be watered frequently during maintenance. When watering, water it as long as the soil in the pot is not dry. When watering, it needs to be watered thoroughly at one time so that the roots can grow quickly.

Cypress is relatively resistant to barrenness, but not to acid and salt. Generally, it does not have very high requirements for soil. It is more suitable to be planted in fertile, loose, breathable, deep alkaline calcareous soil. It can also grow normally in neutral soil.
