To sterilize, disinfect and remove formaldehyde, you have to rely on these 10 kinds of flowers!

Osmanthus fragrans

Main effect: The flowers contain volatile oils, which can sterilize and disinfect, and absorb nicotine at the same time

Maintenance points:

1. Place it on the south balcony or south windowsill where it is exposed to direct sunlight. Insufficient light will cause it to grow too tall and not bloom.

2. Applying thin liquid fertilizer once every 7-10 days can make the osmanthus grow faster and make the plant stronger.

3. Before flowering, spray 1-2 times with 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution to encourage more differentiation of flower buds and flowering of osmanthus.

asparagus

Main functions: secrete bactericidal gas, reduce the incidence of infectious diseases such as colds and laryngitis, absorb sulfur dioxide, etc.

Maintenance points:

1. It likes partial shade and can be placed in the sun for a short while in the morning and evening in autumn.

2. Water once every 3-5 days, and spray water on the leaves in the morning and evening, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow.

3. In autumn, you can apply fertilizer 1-2 times a month, such as bean dregs water and rice washing water, to make asparagus fern grow more vigorously.

White Anthurium

Main effects: inhibit waste gas exhaled by the human body, prevent nasal mucosa from drying out, and reduce respiratory infections

Maintenance points:

1. It likes partial shade and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. It can be kept under scattered light.

2. Normally, water the plant once every 2-3 days. For hydroponic Anthuriums, change the water 1-2 times a week.

3. Apply decomposed liquid fertilizer once a month in the evening, and water again the next morning.

Jasmine

Main effects: The volatilization of fragrance can kill protozoa such as diphtheria and dysentery bacteria, and absorb formaldehyde and sulfur dioxide at the same time

Maintenance points:

1. Place it on the south balcony or south windowsill. If conditions permit, it is best to place it in the yard so that the jasmine can receive sufficient light to bloom more.

2. Water the plant when you see the soil in the pot turns white. Water the plant about once every 2-3 days and spray water on it in the morning and evening.

3. Apply thin liquid fertilizer 2-3 times every half a month to make the plants strong. Before flowering in autumn, spray 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution once to encourage jasmine to differentiate more flower buds.

Monstera

Main effect: absorb carbon dioxide at night, increase the oxygen content in the air, and be beneficial to the respiratory tract

Maintenance points:

1. It is particularly shade-tolerant and can be placed in a place with sufficient scattered light. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise the leaves will easily be burned.

2. Water the plant about once every 2-4 days, and wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering again. Otherwise, waterlogging will cause the roots to rot.

3. Apply decomposed liquid fertilizer once every 10-15 days. You can use homemade rice water, bean dregs water, or compound fertilizer.

Silver Queen

Main effect: The higher the pollutants in the air, the stronger the absorption capacity, thus absorbing all bacteria.

Maintenance points:

1. It likes partial shade and avoids direct sunlight. It can be placed in a brightly lit living room.

2. Water once every 2-4 days to ensure the soil in the pot is moist.

3. Old leaves should be removed in time, which can not only avoid unnecessary nutrient consumption, but also improve the aesthetics.

ivy

Main functions: absorb dust particles in the air, reduce respiratory infections; absorb formaldehyde, benzene, etc.

Maintenance points:

1. It likes sufficient scattered light, such as in the living room or the north kitchen. Direct sunlight will cause leaf burns.

2. Water once every 4-6 days in autumn. Use a watering can to spray water on the leaves in the morning and evening to replenish moisture.

3. Apply a thin layer of cake fertilizer or homemade rice water about once every half a month to make the ivy grow more vigorously.

Rubber Tree

Main functions: absorb particulate dust pollutants, reduce respiratory infections, absorb formaldehyde and sulfur dioxide

Maintenance points:

1. Place it in a living room or north balcony with sufficient scattered light. Exposure to the sun will cause the leaves to turn yellow and fall off.

2. Normally, you only need to water the plant once every 5-8 days. Water the plant only when the soil surface is dry. Otherwise, water will accumulate and cause root rot.

3. Apply nitrogen-containing fertilizers 2-3 times a month. You can bury compound fertilizers in the soil to allow the fertilizer effect to be released slowly.

Clivia

Main function: absorb indoor smoke at night and reduce various respiratory diseases caused by closing doors and windows

Maintenance points:

1. It can accept direct sunlight in spring and autumn. During the dormant period in summer, it can be placed in a cool and ventilated place for maintenance.

2. Water the plant once every 3-5 days to ensure the soil in the pot is slightly dry. Too much water will easily cause root rot.

3. During the peak growing season in autumn, you can apply decomposed bean cake fertilizer about once every half a month, or you can rub beer on the leaves to supplement nutrients.

Pothos

Main function: absorb formaldehyde and sulfur dioxide, making indoor air fresher

Maintenance points:

1. It likes semi-shade and is suitable for growing in scattered light. Ensure good ventilation, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Normally, water the plant once every 3-5 days, and wait until the soil in the pot turns white before watering again.

3. Apply fertilizer once every 7-10 days. You can use rice water or fish tank water to water the green radish, which can make it grow faster!
