How to grow mulberries well

How to grow mulberries well

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: Mulberries have a strong adaptability to temperature. Generally speaking, it can grow between four and thirty degrees. However, if you want it to germinate, you need to keep the temperature above 12 degrees, and try not to go below zero in winter. Of course, the temperature in summer cannot be too high, try not to exceed 40 degrees.

2. Light: Sunlight is very important in the growth of mulberry, especially during the flowering and fruiting periods. It can tolerate some shade, but not prolonged periods of darkness. Generally speaking, it is good to keep it in a place with astigmatism. Even when there is strong light, you must pay attention to shade.

3. Watering: Mulberries like warmth and require more water during their growth period. You cannot wait until the soil is dry for a long time before watering it. Generally, you can add water after it is half dry. But at the same time, it is also afraid of waterlogging, so it is best not to accumulate water.

4. Fertilization: Using an appropriate amount of fertilizer will also help the yield and taste of the fruit. Mulberries are generally planted in orchards and can be fertilized centrally.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Seed propagation can be adopted. Collect the fruits, then remove the peel and take out the seeds, keeping them clean. If not sown immediately, store in moist sandy soil. It can be sown in spring, summer and autumn. Before sowing, the seeds need to be soaked in water at about fifty degrees. The row spacing can be 20 cm, the plant spacing can be about 30 cm, and the depth of the trench is about 1 cm. After about ten days, the seedlings will slowly emerge.

2. Pruning: Its leaves need some pruning, such as when the leaves turn yellow or dry. Furthermore, pruning is also an auxiliary measure when diseases and insect pests occur.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: There is "sclerotinia disease", which harms a very large area, and both the fruit and leaves will be affected. Grade A thiophanate can be used for prevention and control. There is also "bacterial wilt disease". After discovering the diseased plants, they need to be dealt with in time to prevent the disease from spreading. In addition, pesticides need to be sprayed.

2. Pests: Compared with diseases, they are less common, but they must be controlled in time after they appear, otherwise the number of pests will increase further.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: Its plant is non-toxic and the fruit is edible.

2. Can it be grown at home? It is generally grown in orchards.
