Disease and Pest Control of Magnolia grisea

Disease and Pest Control of Magnolia grisea

Pest Control of Gray Manglietia

Mole Cricket

Mole crickets are one of the few pests and diseases of gray magnolia. If you want to reduce the number of mole crickets laying eggs on flowers, you can use some organic fertilizers such as manure and compost, which can be very effective after the ingredients are decomposed. You can also use lights to lure and kill pests, especially when it is going to rain or it is hot and humid that day, and the best time is between 7 and 10 in the evening.

There is also a method of using fresh grass or fresh horse manure to lure and kill. You can dig a hole every 20 centimeters on some walkways in the seedbed, put those things in it, and wait until the next morning to use medicine to kill them. Alternatively, you can mix 50% chlorpyrifos emulsifiable concentrate with the bait and then spread it evenly on the seedbed in the evening to kill the pests.

Big Cricket

Generally, the stems, leaves, fruits and seeds of some crops or tropical plants are easily damaged. The entire plant seedling that is harmed will die, and the top buds of some damaged mature seedlings will also be bitten off. This will cause the gray magnolia to be unable to grow healthily and may even cause it to die. The main prevention and control methods include agricultural prevention, such as manual pest control, or barrier methods. Chemical control can be done by adding 90% trichlorfon to some foods that crickets like to lure and kill them.
