What to do if Spathiphyllum doesn't bloom

What to do if Spathiphyllum doesn't bloom

1. Continue maintenance

The Spathiphyllum has not bloomed, probably because it has been cared for for too short a time. It takes more than 3 years for seedlings to bloom, and at least 5-6 years for seeds to bloom. If the plant has not grown for enough years and has not accumulated enough nutrients, it will naturally not be able to bloom. You can continue to maintain it, provide a suitable maintenance environment, and appreciate the branches and leaves before it blooms.

2. Replenish water

Spathiphyllum has higher requirements for air humidity, so when watering, be sure to water it thoroughly and keep the soil in the pot moist, but there should be no water accumulation, otherwise the roots will easily rot. The surrounding humidity must also be ensured to be good, and water should be sprayed frequently next to the plant to keep it moist. This will create a humid growing environment, which is conducive to flowering.

3. Apply fertilizer

Base fertilizer will be applied before planting in pots, but these nutrients cannot supply the later flowering. If you do not pay attention to fertilization in the later growth stage, the flowers will not bloom. Fertilization needs to be applied in time according to the growth stage, especially before flowering, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be added to ensure sufficient nutrients for flowering.

4. Improve ventilation

If the plant stays in a hot and stuffy environment for a long time, flowering will be hindered, and ventilation needs to be strengthened to promote air circulation.
