Ivy hydroponic cultivation method

Ivy hydroponic cultivation method

1. Rooting of branches in water

When growing ivy hydroponically, try to choose the method of inserting branches into water. The newly grown roots will look good and will not be damaged. Put the young branches with aerial roots into a transparent container by cuttings. Don’t add too much water and they will take root in about 10 days.

2. Change water frequently

The most important thing in hydroponic farming is to change the water frequently. Generally, the water should be changed every 1-2 days, and the water must be ensured to be clean enough. Be careful not to disturb the plant's roots when changing the water. In addition, rotten roots should be trimmed off when changing the water.

3. Appropriate lighting

It is a shade-loving plant. When growing it hydroponically, do not expose it to direct sunlight. It is best to give it scattered light or appropriate shading. It can see the sun in the morning and evening, but should avoid the sun at noon. It will grow better under scattered light.

4. Add nutrient solution

During its growth period, it needs to add appropriate nutrient solution, and generally change the nutrient solution every 2-3 weeks. Be careful not to add too much nutrient solution, and be careful with the roots when changing the nutrient solution.
