Gardenia

reason:

In summer, gardenia is most likely to wilt due to lack of water. If you turn a blind eye to the symptoms such as its leaves drying out and wilting, it may die in a few days!

1. All the leaves of gardenia have fallen off, so you can skip removing the withered leaves and branches for now.

If the leaves have not all fallen off, just cut off the leaves that have withered, turned yellow and black.

2. Prepare perlite, peat soil, carbendazim, rooting powder, etc. The situation of this plant is more serious, so you need to be fully prepared.

Because perlite itself is acidic and has good air permeability, Huahua recommends that you put more of it.

3. Remove the gardenia from the pot and check the roots. It is normal for the roots of gardenia to be white and yellow. If they are black and gray, cut them off without hesitation!

4. Soak the wound of the gardenia in a solution of carbendazim for disinfection. If the root system of the gardenia shows signs of rot, it is best not to use the original soil, otherwise it will easily rot again. Just use new soil.

5. Dry the wound of the gardenia in the shade, then apply some rooting powder to promote rooting.

6. Mix peat soil and perlite in a ratio of 1:1, then put the gardenia in the pot and water it thoroughly.

Note that peat soil can be replaced with coconut bricks, and perlite can be replaced with coarse sand, but you should choose the ones with larger particles.

7. Keep it in a cool and ventilated place, and water it when the soil is dry and wet.

Jasmine

reason:

The jasmine branches and leaves are wilting now, which is most likely due to lack of water and too strong light.

Of course, if you place your jasmine in a shady place but still water it frequently, the roots will definitely be waterlogged!

Take the following measures if there is a lack of water or the light is too strong:

1. If the jasmine is left outside in the sun for a long time, you need to first cut off all the drooping branches at the top. Yes, including the dry branches.

2. Then water the jasmine thoroughly, place it in a cool place for a day, and then put it outside in the sun.

3. Note that when jasmine is exposed to the sun, you must keep watering it, at least once a day! Some areas that are extremely dry and hot may even need watering three times a day!

Take the following measures if waterlogging occurs due to heavy flooding:

1. Cut off all the drooping branches and leaves of the jasmine.

2. Remove the jasmine from the pot and cut off all the black parts of the roots.

3. Prepare fungicides such as carbendazim and thiophanate-methyl, and soak the root wounds of jasmine for about half an hour.

4. Choose clean nutrient soil and pay attention to disinfection and sterilization. You can dry it in the sun before use!

5. Put the jasmine back into the pot, water it thoroughly, and then place it in a cool place for 2 to 3 days, and then maintain it normally!

Azalea

reason:

Rhododendrons like moisture, but also like cool places. In summer, many people cannot control the frequency of watering, and they accidentally water too much without realizing it.

By the time the leaves of the azalea begin to wilt and become listless, you don’t have much time to save it…

1. First, cut off all the branches that have wilted on the surface, leaving only a few better ones. However, if the roots also show signs of rot, all the branches and leaves can be cut off to reduce the burden on the roots.

2. Then remove the azalea from the pot, clean the roots, cut off the black roots, and scrape off the rotten areas. Only the white roots are left. The picture below shows normal roots. Cut off those that are not like this!

3. Disinfect all wounds with carbendazim. Note that disinfection is especially important, after all, it is summer now.

4. Re-pot and replace the soil with loose, breathable humus soil. Put a plastic bag on the top to keep it moist. Of course, if you are in an area with high humidity, you can save the plastic bag.

5. Place it in a cool and ventilated place, keep the soil moist, and then just wait patiently. Basically, it will come back to life in about a month and a half.
