How to grow perfume grass

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: The temperature suitable for its development is between 15 and 25 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, it will enter a semi-dormant state. Therefore, proper temperature control is needed in summer. If the light is too strong, it will cause its branches and leaves to turn yellow and curl. If grown indoors, it can keep blooming as long as the temperature is kept above 13 degrees. The extreme temperature in winter is 5 degrees. If the temperature is lower than 5 degrees, it will be frostbitten and stop growing.

2. Watering: The soil needs to be kept moist for a long time. The temperature is relatively high in summer, so watering is needed every morning and evening. In spring and autumn, watering is needed once a day. In winter, the temperature is relatively low, and the plant's water consumption is not large, so watering once or twice a week is sufficient.

3. Fertilization: This is a plant that likes fertilizer. One week after it is potted, you should start applying fertilizer. Generally, it is fertilized twice a month. You can use compound fertilizer or fermented chicken manure. If you feel that the smell of chicken manure is too strong, you can pour half a can of diluted beer into the soil after applying the manure. This will help remove the odor.

4. Light: It is a light-loving plant. If there is insufficient light, the stems and leaves of the plant will be thin and yellow. The daily sunlight time should not be less than six hours, and it can receive full-day sunlight in autumn and winter.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Replanting: After one or two years of cultivation, the branches and leaves of the plant will become lignified, and the growth rate will significantly slow down. Therefore, generally after two years, the front-transplanting method will be used to cultivate new plants.

2. Pruning: It has a strong vitality. When pruning, in addition to cutting off the dead branches and leaves, you can also shape it appropriately.

3. Problem Diagnosis

1. Yellowing of branches and leaves: The branches and leaves of the plant turn yellow. There are two possibilities. One is that there is too much moisture in the soil, causing the plant's roots to rot. The manifestation above the root soil is yellowing of the branches and leaves. In this case, it is necessary to change the soil. The replacement soil should be one with good drainage and high air permeability. The second reason is insufficient light. This problem is easy to solve. Just let in more sunlight.

2. Slow growth: If the plant grows slowly, it is mostly due to insufficient nutrients. It is necessary to add nutrients to it. The choice of fertilizer has been introduced above.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: Its stems, leaves and fruits are poisonous. Be careful during the maintenance process and do not let the juice come into contact with the skin.

2. Flower language: Its flower language is dedication.
