How to repot a potted petunia

Tips for repotting petunias

Petunia repotting can be done in March or April. At this time, the main thing is to move the petunia from a small pot to a larger pot.

When choosing a flower pot, you should generally choose one that is slightly larger, but not too large. Then you can change to a larger pot as the plant grows. When choosing soil, mix peat soil, perlite and coconut coir, and soak the coconut coir in water.

After choosing the flower pot and soil, we need to put the soil in the flower pot, first add a layer of soil, then add base fertilizer, and then add more soil until the flower pot is filled.

How to repot petunia

First, take out the petunia plant, and be careful not to water it before repotting it, so that the plant will be easier to remove. You can hold the flower pot with your hand and gently tap the bottom of the pot to remove the plant.

Remove some of the soil from the plant and trim any excess roots, then place it in a newly prepared pot and soil. Just compact the soil.

After repotting the petunia, be sure to change the pot and allow the plant to adapt slowly. Remember to water it thoroughly the first time, and then water it a second time after a few days. Don't expose the plant to the sun at this time. Wait until the plant recovers before exposing it to light.
