Disposable lunch box

1. Use disposable lunch box for hydroponics

Because of her busy work, Huahua often orders takeout. One day I suddenly realized that I could save money on hydroponic bottles by using disposable lunch boxes for hydroponics.

1. Clean the used disposable lunch box and dig a small hole in the plastic cover of the lunch box.

2 Disposable lunch box for succulent cuttings

Use a transparent disposable lunch box to propagate succulent cuttings. Both the lid and the box can be used, which makes the propagated succulents take root particularly quickly. Huahua has tried it herself.

1. Clean the disposable plastic lunch boxes and lids after eating, leaving no residue or oil stains, and then dry them in the sun.

2. Make 8-10 holes at the bottom of the disposable lunch box to increase the air and water permeability of the soil and reduce the occurrence of black rot of succulents during the cutting process.

3. Remove the leaves from the succulent mother plant, then place them flat on the lunch box lid and place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry for 2-3 days.

4. Add special nutrient soil for succulents into the lunch box, and then spread a layer of perlite on the surface to make it easier for succulents to take root.

5. Use a watering can to spray water on the soil to keep it slightly moist. Then place the dried succulent leaves neatly on the soil in the disposable lunch box, and then place it in a cool and ventilated place to wait for rooting and sprouting. Once the seedlings have grown, move them into separate pots.

Disposable paper cups

The most common thing in our lives is the disposable cup, whether it is a paper cup or a plastic cup, we can basically get it.

1. Find two disposable paper cups of different sizes. The big cup is used to hold water, and the small cup is used to sow seeds, so holes need to be punched in the bottom of the small cup, and a few small holes should also be punched in the lid.

2. Spread a layer of coal slag on the bottom of the small cup used for sowing, with a thickness of about 1-2cm.

3. Then add nutrient soil. Nutrient soil can be made by mixing peat soil, perlite and vermiculite in a ratio of 2:1:1.

4. Add warmer water to a large disposable cup, then add a small amount of potassium permanganate and stir until the water turns purple.

5. Put the small disposable cup into the large cup and soak it for about half an hour to disinfect the soil.

6. After the culture soil in the cup becomes cool, continue to add water to the original large cup, as long as the water level does not exceed the soil level. The keeping away method is the same as the immersion pot method, and watering in this way is not likely to cause waterlogging.

7. Use a toothpick to sprinkle the seeds evenly in a small cup, then cover it with a lid and place it in a cool place. Open the lid every day to let it air out. If the temperature is above 30°C, wait until autumn to sow.

8. It won’t be long before the seeds sprout.

9. After all the buds have sprouted, continue to keep them in a sealed container for a while. Wait until the buds grow two true leaves before transplanting them.

Source: Yuhua Valley

Many people have a lot of beautiful wine bottles at home. It would be a pity to throw these bottles away; but if they are kept, they are of no use and just take up space. Today Huahua will introduce to you a method of using wine bottles as flower pots, you can learn it now!

1. Things you need to prepare: a wine bottle, alcohol and a cotton rope.

2. Soak the cotton rope in alcohol, making sure it is completely soaked.

3. Put the cotton rope soaked in alcohol onto the wine bottle and wrap it around about 3 times.

4. Light the cotton rope and then rotate the wine bottle back and forth continuously.

5. When you find that the cotton rope is about to go out, just throw it into the water.

6. In this way, you can divide the vase and make it into flower pots.

Tips: If alcohol gets on your hands when soaking the cotton rope, be sure to clean them thoroughly and then wipe your hands, paying attention to your own safety.
