How to fertilize the lucky tree

How to fertilize the lucky tree

Fertilization method

1. During the growth period of the lucky tree, it needs more nutrients. At this time, you can apply more fertilizers to promote the nutritional growth of the plant. Only when the nutritional growth is good can the plant carry out reproductive growth and bear fruit.

2. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, you can fertilize the lucky tree two or three times to increase its resistance so that it can survive the winter safely.

3. Fertilizing should be stopped when the temperature is high in summer. The lucky tree is in a dormant period in winter and the plant roots stop growing, so topdressing should also be stopped at this time.

What fertilizer to apply

The lucky tree is a foliage plant and requires more nitrogen fertilizer, so sufficient nitrogen fertilizer must be ensured during the fertilization process. In addition, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers also need to be supplemented frequently. During the growing season, quick-acting liquid fertilizer can be applied once a month, usually decomposed cake fertilizer. When growing potted plants at home, you can apply a small amount of slow-release fertilizer compound granules regularly. For potted plants in northern regions, apply 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution 2 to 3 times in a row after the Mid-Autumn Festival to increase the plant's cold resistance and help it safely survive the winter. Top dressing should be stopped when the temperature is higher than 32℃ in summer and lower than 12℃ in late autumn and early winter. The fertilizer required by the lucky tree is N:P:K:Ca:Mg=100:9:87:53:12.
