Treatment of daffodil bulbsThe epidermis of daffodil bulbs is very dry and easy to peel off. They can be properly disinfected and allowed to dry naturally. Then put the daffodil bulbs in the refrigerator and set the temperature to around 7-9℃, or you can plant the bulbs in the soil and place them in an environment of 7-9℃. Treat them with low temperature for about 30-40 days to end their dormancy period and effectively promote flowering. After low temperature treatment, move it to normal growth temperature. Preparing soil for daffodilsThe soil should be slightly acidic, fertile sandy loam rich in organic matter. Planting and maintenance of daffodil bulbsUsually, depending on the size of the planting pot, the cluster planting method is adopted, with about 3-5 bulbs planted in each pot. Remember to completely cover the bulbs with soil. After planting, place the flowerpot in semi-shade with about 50% sunlight, keep the soil moist, and when the leaf buds emerge from the soil surface, move the potted plant to an environment with about 70-80% sunlight for cultivation. During the growth period, you can spray it with a dilute solution of potassium dihydrogen phosphate once every two weeks to promote flowering. |
