How to make aloe vera bloom early

Flowering conditions

Usually, aloe vera blooms at different times depending on the variety. Generally speaking, it takes about 3-4 years for arborescent aloe to bloom, 3 years for Aloe vera, and only one year for Aloe saponaria.

Aloe vera needs to bloom, and it needs good light during its growth period, especially in summer, when it needs sufficient light. Sufficient nutrients are also a necessary condition for aloe vera to bloom, and phosphorus fertilizer is indispensable. In addition, aloe vera needs to have strong roots and a relatively thick stem.

Simply put, aloe vera with long and thick leaves, a plant height of more than 40 cm, and green leaves will be more likely to bloom.

How to bloom early

Taking arborescent aloe as an example, when cultivating aloe, some measures can be taken to make the aloe bloom earlier.

In early September, cut the arborescent aloe that has been cultivated for more than two years from the center of the stem, leaving 5 to 7 leaves on the top. When cutting, you need to keep the growth point at the top of the aloe vera, and keep 3-4 leaves at the cut bottom.

Place the cut upper part of the arborescens aloe in a cool place to dry for 10-15 days to dry the moisture on the cut. Then remove the leaves close to the cut part and insert it into the soil. After about 40-50 days, it will take root.

Note that you cannot water the plant before it has taken root, so that you can see aloe flowers in the second year. When the flowers fade, you can cut off the stems.
