Things to note when repotting the love vine

1. Repotting method

The love vine needs to be repotted to grow well. When repotting, you need to choose a suitable flower pot. Generally, a ceramic pot with good air permeability is preferred. Clay pots are prone to water loss, and plastic pots have poor air permeability. The soil can generally be made from a mixed matrix, which can be made by mixing river sand, perlite, peat soil, etc. When repotting the love vine, it should be done in early spring, and the soil should be changed at the same time. It is usually done in combination with pruning and propagation.

Take the plant of the love vine out of the pot and prune it. Prune it heavily and cut off all the branches. The branches cut from the love vine can be propagated. Choose the relatively strong branches among them, cut them into cuttings with a length of 10cm-20cm, and then carry out cuttings. When grafting, you can graft about 10 branches into one flower pot. In addition, you can also do the intermediate work and divide the plants instead. Cut the love vine from the root. Generally, a larger root can be cut into 2-3 pieces. When cutting, be careful not to cut each piece too small, and keep more than 2 buds. Apply some wood ash on the cut to speed up healing, and then plant it in the prepared pot.

2. Maintenance after repotting

Whether the love vine is propagated by cuttings or divisions, it must go through a process of rooting and seedling growth after being potted.

Generally, reasonable light, water and fertilizer can promote the rapid rooting and recovery of the love vine. After the plant grows obviously and new branches grow on the branches, it is basically alive. After that, normal maintenance can be carried out.
