Dragon fruit growth temperature

Dragon fruit prefers a warm environment. The most suitable growth temperature for pitaya is between 25 and 35 degrees. The highest temperature it can generally withstand is 40 degrees. Dragon fruit is afraid of freezing and can generally only withstand temperatures as low as 0 degrees.

Dragon fruit growth humidity

Dragon fruit likes high temperature and high humidity environment, and has relatively high requirements for the humidity of the environment. Generally, the humidity of the environment should be between 70% and 80%. The humidity cannot be too high, otherwise it will cause waterlogging and affect the growth of the roots.

Dragon fruit growing soil

Pitaya does not have very high requirements for soil and has good tolerance to barrenness. It is generally more suitable to be planted in neutral or slightly acidic soil that is rich in humus and has good water and fertilizer retention properties.

Dragon fruit growth cycle and process

The growth cycle of pitaya is one year. It can bloom many times a year, but will only bear fruit once. Generally, it is most suitable to plant pitaya in February and March in spring. Generally, after the flowers wither, the pitaya will mature in another month.
