How to fertilize white orchid

Fertilization time for white orchid

If you want to fertilize the white orchid, you should choose the time of the year when the white orchid grows most vigorously. In a year, the most vigorous growth period of white orchid is probably in May and June or July and August. At this time, fertilizer can be applied to the white orchid once every half a month. Mainly apply compound fertilizer, which contains three elements of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and has relatively balanced nutrition. 2-6 grams of this compound fertilizer can be applied each time. No fertilizer is needed in winter.

Fertilization during flowering period

The flowering period of white orchid is from April to September. During the flowering period, you can apply some quick-acting phosphorus fertilizer. The use of this fertilizer can make the fragrance of the white orchid last for a long time when it blooms, and the fragrance is very wonderful and fragrant.

Fertilization methods

When fertilizing the white orchid, first, you need to dig several vertical and horizontal trenches in the soil near the roots of the white orchid tree, and then put the prepared fertilizer into the trenches. After the fertilizer is placed, fill the trenches and then water them. In this way, the fertilizer will penetrate into the roots of the white orchid along with the water, allowing the white orchid to absorb the fertilizer in a more soothing way. Be careful not to apply fertilizer directly to the roots of the white orchid, as this will burn the roots. You don't need to apply a lot of fertilizer each time. You can apply it several times so that the plants can absorb sufficient fertilizer in a healthy manner. If it is a newly planted white orchid, when it grows new buds, it is usually a relatively warm time, so you can apply fertilizer every 3 or 4 days to promote the growth of the white orchid.
