Sowing time

Allium orchid seedlings are more afraid of heat, and the most suitable temperature for sowing is 15~20℃, so it is suitable for autumn sowing in mid-to-late September.

Sowing preparation

The substrate must be disinfected before sowing. The best way is to fry it in a pan, of course, provided that you are not obsessed with mysophobia, or expose it to the sun for a period of time. If you purchase the culture soil directly, there is no need to disinfect it and you can use it directly.

Germination

The seeds of Allium orchid are not large, and germination before sowing will help the seeds germinate.

Soak the seeds in warm water (about the same temperature as face washing water) for 12 to 24 hours, until the seeds absorb water and swell.

Sowing method

Use tweezers or toothpicks to place the soaked and dried seeds one by one on the soil surface, then cover them with about one centimeter of soil and water them thoroughly.

Post-sowing care

After sowing in autumn, there is a high probability of encountering a cold wave. You can wrap the flower pots with plastic film to keep them warm and moist. After the seedlings emerge from the soil, remove the film and expose the seedlings to the sun before 9 a.m. and after 3 p.m., otherwise the seedlings will grow very weak.

After most of the seeds have germinated, Yu Luo begins to thin out the seedlings, cutting off the diseased and weak seedlings to give the remaining seedlings some space to grow. When most of the seedlings have grown more than 3 leaves, they can be planted in pots.
