How to propagate carnations

How to propagate carnations

Material preparation

Just go to the market and buy a pot of carnations, as long as the stems look decent. For example, this pot, although it looks a bit messy, some of the small branches can still be used and are just right for cuttings.

This is very common. It is the foam box left over from eating fruits. It can keep heat and water, and isolate heat and cold.

Select cuttings

Choose relatively thick branches for cutting cultivation.

Note: Be careful when breaking branches so as not to damage the seedlings.

Cutting method

Just a few simple words: planting rice and watering.

Use chopsticks, branches, scissors, etc. to first separate the soil layer, and then put the seedlings in. Then press the soil firmly and you’re done!

After two months, take out the seedlings and arrange them into a small potted plant.

Pruning potted plants

After planting the seedlings, you can add wire and brackets around them to fix them so that the carnations can take shape. The carnations that have been cultivated with great difficulty are the most suitable gifts for mothers. It’s not too late now, so plant one quickly!
