How to care for potted mandsura

Soil requirements

Datura likes warm, humid and sunny environment and is afraid of waterlogging. If the planting temperature is lower than 2℃, the whole plant will die.

It is easy to plant and the soil requirements are not very high. It can be planted in general soil, but soil rich in humus and lime is better. Generally, it can be sown in fertile, well-drained soil.

How to fertilize

For potted plants, you can sprinkle some rotten yogurt or decomposed chicken manure around the pot as base fertilizer. Generally, the buds begin to bloom in June . If the fertilizer and water supply are proper, it can also produce more and continuous new flowers for a long time.

How to water

As the temperature rises, you should water more to keep the soil moist. But don't let it be too dry or too wet, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and fall off. In winter, you should reduce the frequency of watering, as long as the soil is not dry.

Temperature and light

Except for the midsummer when the temperature is too high and the sun is too scorching, the flower pot should be placed in semi-shade, and the Datura should be given sufficient light at other times, and manure should be applied every 7 to 10 days .

In winter, move it to a sunny place indoors. The room temperature should be kept above 5 ℃, otherwise it will cause yellowing or falling leaves.

Plastic pruning

The dead branches of Datura should be pruned off after it is taken out of the house in spring. If the plant is too high or has lost its feet, it will affect its appearance, so it must be pruned appropriately to encourage the growth of new branches and to renew the plant.
