Breeding methods and precautions of Million Bells

Breeding methods and precautions of Million Bells

1. Fertilization

The million bell plant does not require much fertilizer to grow, so the amount of base fertilizer can be smaller. It can be prepared according to the ratio of earthworm fertilizer: soil (1:3). Thin fertilizer should also be applied during the growth period, and the frequency of application can be increased.

2. Lighting

Million bells grow better in a sunny environment, and can also grow normally in a semi-shaded environment. However, sufficient sunlight is beneficial to the growth of branches and an increase in the number of flowers.

3. Water

Pay attention to watering during the high temperatures in summer. After dehydration causes the stems and leaves to wilt, the leaves also need water.

IV. Precautions

1. Pests and diseases. Common pests and diseases of million bells include stem blight, whiteflies and aphids. When you find stems withering, cut off the diseased branches immediately. For aphids and whiteflies, spray effective insecticides in time. Do not wait until the infestation becomes more serious before diagnosing and treating.

2. Selection of potted plants. It is sufficient to plant three million bells in an ordinary flowerpot. Since the million bells have so many flowers, planting one will also do. A reasonable pinching method can make a single plant grow beautiful flower balls. If you choose to plant small bells of different colors, you need to consider how to match them based on the different characteristics of the plants.
