How to choose a flower pot

A flowerpot of appropriate size and suitable material is the basis for the healthy growth of lotus. Of course, choosing a beautiful and elegant flowerpot can increase the ornamental value of the lotus. So what kind of flower is suitable for lotus?

Material

Flower pot materials can be roughly divided into three types: ceramic pots and plastic pots:

Ceramic flower pots are stable, generous and durable, and are usually used in front of units or in courtyards.

Plastic flower pots have low cost, come in a variety of specifications, are easy to carry, and are suitable for large-scale production.

size

Flower pots can be divided into large, medium and small types according to the diameter of the mouth. There are different varieties of lotus, and you should choose the corresponding flowerpot according to the size of the plant.

The height of large varieties is generally one meter, so you should choose a large flower pot with a diameter of 36 cm and a height of 30 cm for planting.

The plant height of medium-sized varieties is about 60 cm, so choose a medium-sized flower pot with a diameter of 28 cm and a height of 26 cm for planting.

The average plant height of small varieties is about 30 cm, so choose small flower pots with a diameter of 22 cm and a height of 20 cm for planting.

Precautions

Lotus generally requires a relatively humid environment, so there must be no pores at the bottom of the pot. Please note that the flower pots have no air holes when purchasing. If you buy the wrong one, you can still use it, but before using it, seal the bottom hole with cement or adhesive tape to prevent the flower pot from leaking.
