Cutting propagation methodCutting propagation is a relatively common propagation method, among which the supine cutting method is commonly used for home maintenance. First take a pair of leaf cuttings (with a few stem nodes), dry them in a cool place for a week, then insert them directly into the soil, water them thoroughly, and cover them with plastic film. During the rooting process, increase the humidity of the soil appropriately and spray water frequently to keep it moist. New shoots will grow after about three weeks. Remove the film and let it grow naturally. After two or three weeks, when the roots grow to 2~3cm, you can change the pot and transplant it. High-pressure breedingHigh pressure breeding is the safest breeding method. The so-called high-pressure breeding is to first stimulate the plants to protect themselves, thereby accelerating their growth. Select branches with relatively strong growth, lay them flat in the culture soil, make a small wound at the stem node with a needle, and then use U-shaped thin wire to fix the stem node in the culture soil. New roots will grow in about 3 weeks. When the roots grow to 2~3cm long, cut them off with the roots and transplant them. Zero-seed propagationThe seed propagation method is very similar to cutting propagation, but the technical content is relatively high. The advantage of this method is that it is easier to root than cutting propagation and has a higher survival rate. The key to success lies in the remainder. The key to the propagation of wormwood is to find branches with wormwood. Select the branches, cut them off, bury them shallowly in the culture soil, water them thoroughly, and they will take root and grow into new plants after two weeks. Seed propagationIt is difficult to obtain seeds for home maintenance, and sowing propagation is rarely used. Sowing is generally done in late spring or early summer when the temperature is around 20°C. Select the seeds of plants grown that year and sow them directly. Don’t believe those cheap seeds on the Internet, buy seeds from regular channels! |
