When you use hydrangeas for flower arrangements at home, pick off as many leaves as possible and place them in water to reduce water evaporation. However, if you place a flower basket or bouquet at the door as a decoration, do not pick off the leaves immediately. Throw away the withered leaves after use, and pick the remaining leaves for maintenance. Soak the flower stems in water and add water in time when the flowers are placed in the pot. When harvesting or purchasing, choose plants with half of the flower buds about to open, and avoid exposing them to the scorching sun. During transportation, cut flowers should be placed in an environment with a pH value of 4.0~5.0 as much as possible. Ensure no water shortage for 4 hours. You can even use a cotton cloth soaked in water to rehydrate the flowers during transportation. Hydrangeas are not sensitive to ethylene gas and do not require any special treatment. Hydrangeas can be stored in a cold storage to keep them fresh, but not for more than 2 days. The most suitable storage temperature is 3~4℃. Theoretically, the cut flower stems of Hydrangea are 70 to 75 cm long and can be stored for 10 to 12 days under normal care. But this is only theoretical. How long to store it depends on you! |
