When can the sunflower seedlings be transplanted? How to cultivate sunflowers?

1. When can I transplant?

It is recommended to transplant sunflower seedlings in spring when the temperature is suitable, which can reduce damage to the seedlings and allow them to adapt to the environment as quickly as possible. It will resume growth and start flowering soon after transplanting. It can also be done in summer, but you need to pay attention to ventilation after transplanting, watering and spraying frequently, and maintaining a certain humidity. It is also necessary to block the light appropriately to prevent strong sunlight from damaging the seedlings.

2. How to cultivate

1. Light: It prefers light and should be placed in light during normal growth period. It can bloom as scheduled only if it is exposed to light more often. If placed in a dark place, it will easily grow too tall, resulting in a shorter flowering period and fewer flowers.

2. Temperature: It likes a warm environment. The most suitable temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees, which is conducive to its growth. In a high temperature environment, move it to a ventilated place and let more air flow to cool down. When the temperature is low, it should be placed indoors and the temperature should be controlled. The minimum temperature in winter must be above 10 degrees, otherwise frost damage will occur.

3. Humidity: It is drought-resistant, but it consumes a lot of water during its growth period, so it needs to be watered in time. Generally, water it once every two or three days, and increase the frequency in summer to water it every day. However, you must pay attention to the amount each time and do not allow water to accumulate in the soil for a long time, otherwise it will affect growth. Especially during the seedling stage, the seedlings require less water, so the amount should be reduced and watering should be done only when the soil is dry.
