Cultivation methods and precautions of star mites

Cultivation methods and precautions of star mites

1. Breeding methods

1. Potting soil: When growing star mites, you should use a flowerpot with good air permeability, and you can use a special flowerpot for succulents. The soil should be loose, breathable and not prone to water accumulation. You can use special soil for succulents, or you can mix sandy soil and granular soil.

2. Temperature: The temperature range suitable for the growth of star hopper is 18-28℃. During the day, the temperature of the maintenance environment can be controlled within this range. At night, the temperature can be kept at around 15℃. It has poor cold resistance, and the temperature of the maintenance environment needs to be controlled above 7°C in winter.

3. Watering: It has the ability to store water, but it cannot grow normally in soil with stagnant water. Therefore, when raising plants, it is better to water less rather than more. Try to wait until the soil shows signs of drying out before watering it.

4. Fertilization: It does not particularly like fertilizer, so generally top dressing once every two months or so is sufficient. If a small amount of accumulated fertilizer is mixed into the soil before planting, you can change to topdressing every three months or so.

2. Precautions

1. Prevent diseases and pests: Star ash is a plant that is not prone to diseases and pests. However, when breeding, it is recommended to spray it with some low-concentration disease and insect prevention drugs during the peak period of disease and insect pests to prevent it from getting sick or infested with insects.

2. Avoid excessive growth: To prevent it from growing too tall, you need to ventilate it regularly and allow it to receive more sunlight.
