1. Pot soil selectionThe plant of the multi-headed chrysanthemum is relatively short and can only grow to a maximum of about 80cm, so a medium-sized flowerpot is sufficient. Do not use plastic flower pots as their poor air permeability is not conducive to plant growth. You can use ceramic flower pots with drainage holes at the bottom. It is advisable to choose sandy soil with good drainage and water retention properties. The culture soil can be prepared by mixing sand, leaf mold and base fertilizer. In addition, after choosing the potting soil, you need to place them in the sun and expose them to the sun for about 3 days for disinfection and sterilization. 2. LightingMulti-headed chrysanthemum likes light, and sufficient light is conducive to its better growth. Try to keep it exposed to sunlight for about 8 hours a day, but no more than 10 hours. When the sun is strong in summer, the plants need to be moved to a semi-shaded place and shade measures should be taken to prevent them from being burned by the scorching sun. 3. TemperatureChrysanthemums prefer a warm and cool growing environment. The temperature of the maintenance environment should be kept between 15-22℃ as much as possible. When the temperature is too high, you can open the windows for ventilation, or spray water mist on the chrysanthemums every day to cool them down. When the temperature is too low, move the plant to a warm place indoors for maintenance. 4. WateringWhen growing multi-headed chrysanthemums in pots, it is generally necessary to water them every 2-3 days to keep the soil in the pot moist every day. When the weather is cold in winter, wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering to avoid freezing of the soil in the pot due to excessive water. When watering, be sure to water thoroughly. If not, water will easily accumulate, causing root rot in the plant. 5. FertilizationApply liquid fertilizer once every 15 days or so to facilitate plant growth. It should be noted that the fertilizer concentration should not be too high to avoid fertilizer damage. |
