Breeding methods and precautions for black rabbit ears

Breeding methods and precautions for black rabbit ears

1. Breeding methods

1. Loam: The loam you choose needs to be breathable, well-drained, and rich in nutrients. You can add cinders and perlite to the loam to increase air permeability and promote water discharge.

2. Light: Adequate light is beneficial to growth. If this condition is not met, the growth will become weak and the leaves will become slender. Too strong sunlight will burn the leaves. From May to September, the sunlight should be properly blocked, or the plant should be exposed to sunlight only in the morning and evening.

3. Watering: A slightly humid environment is conducive to growth, but it cannot tolerate waterlogging. Water appropriately according to growth needs. Do not water too much even during the period of vigorous growth to prevent it from being too wet and causing leaves to fall, but do not make it too dry.

4. Fertilization: The nutrients consumed for growth are not much, so the demand for nutrients is not much. Apply fertilizer once a month during the growing period. Be careful not to let the concentration be too high and avoid getting it on the stems and leaves. Growth stagnates in winter, so fertilization can be stopped.

2. Precautions

Because it likes a warm growing environment, the most suitable temperature is 18-26 degrees, and it cannot tolerate the cold, so the temperature for growth in winter cannot be lower than 5 degrees.
