Cultivation methods and precautions of false epiphyllum

Cultivation methods and precautions of false epiphyllum

1. Soil

The false night-blooming cereus is suitable for growing in relatively moist but water-free soil, and air permeability needs to be taken into consideration when choosing the soil. In addition to considering drainage issues, you also need to use base fertilizer in the soil to increase soil nutrients.

2. Lighting

Light is the first factor for plant growth. It can only grow well when there is sufficient light. The false Epiphyllum is not tolerant to strong light, so when it is exposed to light, it can only be exposed to diffuse light, and the exposure time should reach four hours.

3. Temperature

It has relatively high temperature requirements, and the maintenance temperature needs to be kept between fifteen and twenty degrees. The minimum temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees and the maximum should not exceed 30 degrees. If it exceeds the limit, it will no longer grow.

4. Watering

It likes to grow in a humid environment, so adequate watering is a must. Generally, water every day when the temperature is high, and water every other day when the temperature is low. The amount of watering should be slightly controlled so that water does not accumulate in the soil.

5. Fertilization

It has relatively strict requirements for fertilizer during the growing period and needs to be fertilized once every two weeks. When its growth is not very vigorous, it should be fertilized once a month.

6. Notes

The temperature in early spring is relatively low. If you water the plants grown indoors, the water temperature needs to be similar to the maintenance temperature, otherwise the plants may be easily frozen.
