Cultivation methods and precautions of Lilium lily

Cultivation methods and precautions of Lilium lily

1. Maintenance methods

1. Substrate selection: For growing Fritillaria dasyphylla, you should choose fertile sandy loam rich in humus. Soil that is too sticky is not suitable for the growth of Fritillaria dasyphylla. Lilium lily is not very demanding on the ecological environment, has strong adaptability to soil, and can grow in both neutral and alkaline soils.

2. Light management: In modern greenhouses, horticultural high-pressure sodium lamps should be used. In the high temperatures of summer, strong direct sunlight should be avoided. Generally, shade nets are used for shade, and good ventilation and light should be maintained.

3. Temperature management: The optimal growth temperature of Lilium is 15-25℃. When the temperature is higher than 28℃, it will hinder its growth. If the temperature is higher than 33℃, the plant will die directly.

4. Water management: Water is usually given in the morning on sunny days, and the humidity can be around 80%-85%. Just keep the soil moist, and do not water too much.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Repotting: Usually repotting is done once a year, in October. When repotting, the new soil should be clean and the pot should be turned frequently during the growth period after repotting to prevent the plant from growing crooked.

2. Division: When starting to divide, remove the buds that grow from the stems and leaves and cultivate them carefully.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Rodent damage: Poisonous bait can be placed during the spring thaw. Use 1 kg of 0.005% bromadiolone bait per acre of land, sprinkle it on the ground, and place it in small doses multiple times for better results.

2. White grubs: The occurrence of pests is very harmful to their growth and prevention and control should be carried out as soon as possible. You can use 800-1000 times diluted 50% malathion or 1000 times diluted 50% phoxim emulsifiable concentrate to irrigate the soil for prevention and control.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be planted in the ground: It can be planted in the ground. It has good ornamental value and is suitable for the decoration of flower mirrors and the cultivation of flower beds. It is an ornamental flower that people like when choosing potted plants at home.

2. How long is the flowering period: The flowering period is in July and August in summer. The flowers are beautiful when in full bloom and have an attractive fragrance. The flowering period of the Fritillaria lily is very long and it has ornamental value.
