How to grow white clover

How to grow white clover

1. Soil

White clover is highly acid-resistant and has strong adaptability to soil. It can grow in any well-drained soil except saline soil. When breeding, it is recommended to use loose, fertile, well-drained acidic soil.

2. Lighting

It likes light and can be grown in a place with sufficient light. In spring, autumn and winter, it can be placed in a bright and well-lit place for maintenance. Especially in winter, it should be exposed to more sunlight to help it survive the winter safely. It cannot be exposed to the sun for a long time in summer and needs to be kept in a cool place.

3. Temperature

It is suitable for growing in a warm environment. The best seasons for its growth are spring and autumn, and the most suitable growth temperature is 15-25℃. During the high temperature period in summer, it needs to be placed in a cool place to cool down appropriately. During the low temperatures in winter, take good care of it to keep it warm so that it can survive the winter safely.

4. Watering

It likes a humid environment and needs regular watering. When watering, wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. Each time you water it, be sure to water it thoroughly, but do not allow water to accumulate at the roots. Generally speaking, it is sufficient to water the plants every 2-3 days in summer, spring and autumn. If the temperature is too high in summer and the soil is relatively dry, you can increase the watering frequency appropriately. In winter, water once every 4-6 days.

5. Fertilization

It grows relatively fast and requires regular fertilization during the growing season to supplement its nutrients. Generally, fertilizer is applied every 10-15 days, and nitrogen fertilizer and phosphorus fertilizer can be applied in spring and autumn. Summer is suitable for applying liquid fertilizer. Mix cake fertilizer with water and apply cake fertilizer liquid. You can also apply organic fertilizer liquid. No fertilizer is needed in winter.
