How to Make Cyclamen Bloom at Christmas

How to Make Cyclamen Bloom at Christmas

1. Reasonable watering

Cyclamen is a plant that prefers a little moisture but is afraid of too much water. If there is too much water, it will not be able to grow well, and its roots may even rot or die. Watering should be done reasonably, and the soil should be kept moist every day. The amount of water should not be too much, so controlling the moisture can make it grow better, and then it will bloom on time at Christmas.

2. Increase fertilizer application

Cyclamen prefers fertilizer. If it is potted soil, it is best to choose some fertile sandy loam with more humus, and replace the potting soil in time every year. Every spring and autumn, you need to apply some fertilizer to meet its needs and allow it to absorb nutrients more fully, so that it will bloom better.

3. Suitable temperature

In fact, temperature has a great impact on it. Cyclamen is generally not very resistant to high temperatures. If the temperature is too high, it will enter a more dormant state. Generally speaking, the most suitable growth temperature for it is around 20 degrees during the day and around 10 degrees at night. During the seedling stage, the temperature can be slightly lower. In addition, the temperature can be slightly lower when the flower buds are differentiating and the pedicels are elongating. This will be more conducive to flowering. So temperature is still very important.

4. Extend the time of care

It prefers sunlight, so that you can extend its light exposure time, so that it can bloom earlier, so it is best to put it in a place with relatively sufficient sunlight at normal times. This way of maintenance will allow it to grow better.

5. Stimulation

When the flower buds just appear, you can use some medicine to gently spray it on the small buds. Generally, it is enough to spray it twice a day, which can also make it bloom better.
