The cultivation method of white flower gentian

The cultivation method of white flower gentian

1. Soil

White flowered gentian is more suitable for growing in relatively shady and moist soils such as riverside wetlands and forest edges. Continuous cropping should be avoided, otherwise it will lead to the degeneration of the variety and slow growth.

2. Temperature

It is a thermophilic plant, and an environment above 18°C is most suitable for its growth. If the temperature is too high during summer planting, measures must be taken to cool it down. When the weather is too cold in winter, you should pay attention to keeping warm. If conditions permit, you can choose to plant in a greenhouse or shed.

3. Lighting

Adequate light and lighting should be maintained all year round. Adequate sunlight can promote its metabolism, accelerate its growth and increase its ornamental value. Otherwise, developmental delay or even growth withering may occur.

4. Fertilization

During the growth period, because of its rapid growth, it requires more nutrients, so top dressing should be done in time. Each time you apply top dressing, you can prepare fertilizer according to the ratio of about 1:25 of decomposed cake fertilizer to diluted manure.

5. Watering

A slightly humid environment is beneficial to its health, and water supply should be guaranteed. Normally, water the plant once every 2-3 days. Do not water the plant with dirty water, otherwise it will be infested with insects. After the temperature rises suddenly, water should be sprayed once in the morning and evening. During the rainy season, attention should be paid to drainage to prevent root rot.

6. Notes

1. The surrounding weeds should be removed in time and the soil should be loosened in time to increase its air permeability.

2. During the spring and autumn when pests are prevalent, you should pay attention to spraying pesticides to prevent common pests such as red spider mites.
