Cultivation method of Lycopodiella sphenanthera

Cultivation method of Lycopodiella sphenanthera

1. Soil:

It is best to cultivate Lycopodium album in acidic soil. The soil should be loose, fertile and well-drained so that it can grow better.

2. Lighting:

During its growth period, Lycopodiella ciliata needs sufficient light to promote the growth of the plant. However, it cannot tolerate strong light. If the light intensity is strong, appropriate shade should be provided to avoid sunburn of the plant.

3. Watering:

The Lycopodium album is drought-resistant but not water-resistant. It does not require much water and does not need frequent watering. Do not overwater, which will cause water accumulation, otherwise the roots will be waterlogged and die.

4. Temperature:

Lycopodiella cuneata is not cold-resistant and prefers warm climate. The suitable temperature during the growth period is around 25℃. The temperature in winter should not be lower than 0℃ to avoid frostbite of the plants.

5. Notes:

1. Diseases:

The main diseases of Lycopodiella are stem blight and leaf spot. They will harm the leaves and rhizomes of Lycopodiella ciliata, and in severe cases may cause the death of the plant. Pay attention to ventilation during cultivation. If diseases occur, spray carbendazim solution 3-5 times for prevention and control.

2. Pests:

The main pests of Lycopodiella are pine caterpillars, which feed on the leaves of Lycopodiella and seriously endanger the normal growth of the plant. If insect pests are found, you can use dichlorvos to spray and kill the insects, or you can control them by trapping and killing the adult insects.
