Chrysanthemum propagation method, is the propagation survival rate high?

Chrysanthemum propagation method, is the propagation survival rate high?

1. Planting

In autumn from October to December, collect the mature seeds and wait for sowing in the spring of next year. Pick out the seeds, remove the shriveled seeds, and select the plump and full seeds for sowing. Choose suitable soil, mix it with garden soil and river sand, and sow the seeds in the soil.

2. Cutting

From well-growing plants, cut off strong branches about 20 cm long and remove the leaves underneath. Prepare a suitable substrate, cut the bottom of the branch into a bevel, dip it in a little rooting agent and insert it into the substrate. Place it in a cool and well-ventilated place, keep the surrounding warm, and it will take root in about two weeks.

3. Layering

Choose a strong plant with good growth, select a longer branch from it, press it down to the sides, cover it with a layer of soil to fix it. After a period of time, the branch will take root and can be separated from the mother plant to grow into an independent plant.

4. Division

The method of division is suitable for around the Qingming Festival in spring, and can be combined with repotting. Take the plant out of the original pot, prune the plant appropriately, cut off old and rotten roots, and divide it into small plants for planting separately.

5. Grafting

Dig up wild Artemisia seedlings, plant and cultivate them until the plants become strong, choose a good grafting location, cut a small incision, and insert the small chrysanthemum buds to secure them.

6. Is the survival rate high?

When using this method for reproduction, the survival rate is relatively high as long as the correct operating steps are followed.
