Chrysanthemum flowering time, what to do if it doesn't bloom

1. Flowering time

Chrysanthemums are common in our daily lives, and they usually bloom from September to November in autumn. Because there are so many varieties of chrysanthemums, different varieties of chrysanthemums have different flowering times. Summer chrysanthemum is also called Wujiu chrysanthemum. As the name suggests, it blooms in summer and can bloom twice a year, once in the fifth month of the lunar calendar and the other time in the ninth month of the lunar calendar, which is around August to September. The winter chrysanthemum is also called the winter chrysanthemum. It blooms relatively late, in December every year, and lasts until around January of the following year.

2. What to do if it doesn't bloom

1. Control light: Chrysanthemum is a short-day plant. Lack of sunlight will result in no flowering. If the light exposure time is too long, it will also result in no flowering. Therefore, it is necessary to control the sunlight and maintain about 12 hours of sunlight during the flower bud differentiation period.

2. Reasonable watering: Too much watering will cause the growth of branches and leaves, making it difficult to bloom normally, so reasonable watering is needed and never too much watering.

3. Appropriate fertilization: It likes fertilizer, and flowering requires nutrient support. Lack of nutrients will also lead to no flowering, so apply some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before flowering.

4. Proper pruning: If you do not pay attention to pruning on a regular basis, the branches and leaves will grow in a disorderly manner, consuming more nutrients and making it difficult to bloom. Pay attention to pruning on a regular basis and cut off the withered and yellow leaves.
