The difference between Begonia and Begonia

The difference between Begonia and Begonia

1. Different families

Begonia does not refer to a single plant, but a general term for multiple plants, including various plants of the genus Malus and several plants of the genus Papaya. Begonias are divided into two categories: herbaceous and woody. They include the four-season begonia variety. In addition to this variety, there are also weeping begonias, western begonias, variegated begonias, etc. It can also refer to the begonia flower alone. Among them, the begonia flower that is common in daily life belongs to the Rosaceae family and the Malus genus.

Begonia refers to one of the varieties of begonia. It is a plant of the genus Begonia in the Begoniaceae family and is a fleshy herb.

2. Different plant types

Because the single-fingered crabapple is a tree, its plant is relatively large and can reach a height of about 8 meters, which is quite tall. The small branches above are cylindrical and relatively thick.

The begonia plant is relatively small, only about 15-30 cm in height, with an upright, fleshy stem that is relatively smooth and has no hairs.

3. Different flowers

There are many varieties of crabapples, so the flower shapes are different and the colors are also diverse, including deep red, light pink, white, red-purple, etc.

The flowering period of Begonia is from October to May. The flowering period lasts for a relatively long time, and the flowers are mostly light pink or white.
