How to grow Osmanthus fragrans on the balcony and what should be paid attention to

1. Light exposure

Osmanthus fragrans has a greater demand for light, so it can be placed on the balcony for maintenance. Sufficient light exposure is conducive to its growth. Five or six hours of light a day must be ensured to make the plant stronger and the flowers more numerous and fragrant. If there is a lack of sunlight for a long time, it will affect its growth, causing it to grow weakly and produce fewer flowers. It can withstand direct sunlight, but the light in summer is very strong, so you can block it appropriately and try to expose it to soft scattered light in summer.

2. Water supplement

The growth of Osmanthus fragrans cannot be separated from the support of water, and reasonable watering is required to maintain its growth needs. When the seeds just sprout in the spring, they need more water. You can water them every three days or so. In the summer, the evaporation is vigorous, so you need to increase watering.
