How to grow fuchsia in summer

How to grow fuchsia in summer

1. Shade and cool down

When summer comes, if the temperature exceeds 30 degrees, it should be moved to a ventilated and rain-proof place so that it can continue to grow and bloom; if the temperature exceeds 22 degrees, not only should it be watered normally, but it should also be sprayed 1-2 times a day; if the temperature exceeds 25 degrees, water should be sprinkled around the pot to increase the humidity of the air and lower the temperature.

2. Control fertilizer and water

From July to August, it will enter the high temperature season and no fertilizer should be applied to it at this time. Moreover, for potted plants, you should reduce watering appropriately and let the soil in the pot slightly dry. If it is too humid or hot and stuffy without ventilation for a long time, its leaves will turn yellow and wither, and even the roots will rot.

3. Prevent rain

There is more rain in the summer, and it is very afraid of moisture, so it is easy for its roots to rot and its leaves to fall off, and in severe cases the plant may even die. Therefore, before each rain, move it to a sheltered place. If you suddenly encounter a thunderstorm and don't have time to move the pot, you can drain the accumulated water in the pot after the rain. If the pot is still too wet at this time, you can put some burnt charcoal in it to speed up the evaporation of water.

4. New seedlings replace old seedlings

If it is an old plant for many years, it will be particularly afraid of heat, but if it is a cultivated plant, it has a strong ability to resist high temperatures, especially in early summer, it is more resistant to high temperatures, so in order to allow it to safely survive the summer, we can replace old seedlings with new seedlings.
