Is litchi a shade-loving or sun-loving plant?

Does litchi prefer shade or sun?

Litchi is a sun-loving crop. The plant is more suitable for growing in a warm, well-lit environment. The place where it is cultivated must have sufficient light, and it is best to have a certain temperature difference between day and night. This is more conducive to its healthy growth and makes the fruit sweeter.

Lychees in the sun

Litchi has relatively high requirements for light. It is a very light-loving plant and requires more than 1,700 hours of sunshine per year in the planting area. Only sufficient light can enhance the photosynthesis of litchi and promote the differentiation of litchi flower buds.

Lychees can be exposed to the sun. Only when the plants are exposed to more sun can they carry out photosynthesis better, promote the growth of the fruit and the accumulation of sweetness, and the plants can grow healthily.

Growth habits of litchi

Litchi is an evergreen tree. The plant likes high temperature and high humidity, and likes light and sunshine. The most suitable temperature is 23-29℃. When the temperature is lower than 10℃, the growth of the plant will be slow. Rainy and windy weather will not be conducive to flowering and pollination of the plant.

Litchi is mostly distributed in the range of 18-29° north latitude in my country. The plant has strong adaptability to soil texture, but it is best planted in loose, fertile, sunny and well-ventilated land. The planting site must have sufficient light, and it can also be maintained in potted plants at home.
