Cultivation methods and precautions of false leaf tree

Cultivation methods and precautions of false leaf tree

1. Maintenance methods

1. Water: The false leaf tree needs more water during the growing period. It is best to ensure that the soil is slightly moist at ordinary times, and control the amount of watering in winter.

2. Soil: It is suitable for growing in loose, breathable, well-drained acidic soil, and you can prepare the soil yourself. When preparing the soil, you can mix soil, leaf mold and peat soil, and the soil must be clean.

3. Temperature: The suitable growth temperature is around 20℃ during the day and should not be lower than 10℃ at night. It has a certain degree of cold resistance, with the lowest cold-resistant temperature being minus 8°C. It should not be lower than 5°C in winter. Try to move it indoors or to a sunny place for maintenance in winter.

4. Light: It likes light, and the potted plant should be placed in a sunny place, which is conducive to its growth. It cannot withstand strong direct sunlight or exposure to the sun. In summer, it needs to be moved to a cooler place to avoid being exposed to the sun.

2. Maintenance Tips

1. Reproduction: In spring, you can combine potting with division. When repotting, just take out the plant, cut off the rotten roots, then divide the roots into sections and put them into the flowerpot.

2. Pruning: If it is a potted plant at home, in order to maintain its beautiful tree shape, we must promptly remove the young buds at the top to promote the germination of side branches and flower buds, so that the flower shape will be fuller and more ornamental.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Leaf blight: It will be affected by leaf blight, and spots will appear on the leaves, so the diseased leaves should be removed in time and sprayed with carbendazim for disinfection.

2. Pests: Beetles are a relatively common pest. Once discovered, you can use a small brush to drive the insects away, and use imidacloprid to kill the larvae and protect the potted plants. You must also strengthen management and maintain ventilation.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be grown indoors? It can be grown indoors as an ornamental potted plant. It is recommended to grow it in a dry place indoors and ventilate it frequently to avoid being threatened by pests and diseases.

2. Is it toxic? Data shows that it is toxic, so try not to eat it. If you keep it at home, be careful not to let your pets chew it.
