The cultivation methods and precautions of wild rice

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil:茭白 is suitable for growing in a soil environment with fertile but loose soil. When preparing the soil, you can use wood chips, some garden soil and a small amount of rotten leaf soil. This way the soil has better air permeability and is very suitable for its growth.

2. Light: It is not very strict about light. It only needs relatively good light conditions and can be kept in a location with diffuse light. If it is summer, you need to temporarily move it to a cooler place to avoid exposure to the scorching sun. It is enough to receive about six hours of sunlight a day.

3. Temperature: It will grow better in an environment of 10-25℃, it is not cold-resistant. At the same time, it cannot withstand high temperature and dry weather, so the temperature should not exceed 30℃ in summer, otherwise it will stop growing and developing, and it can be kept above 5℃ in winter.

4. Water: It needs more water. In spring and summer, it needs to be watered twice a day. In autumn and winter, watering once a day is sufficient. It is best to keep the soil in the paddy field moist and pay attention to drainage during the rainy season.

2. Training skills

1. Reproduction: Sowing can be carried out in April and May. The water chestnut seedlings can be planted in the soil at any time during this period. During this period, attention should be paid to maintaining the moisture of the soil to ensure that the seeds have enough moisture to germinate.

2. Pruning: You can prune it when the beginning of autumn comes, and you should prune the dead yellow leaves in time. This can promote its growth and also make it more ventilated and breathable.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Leaf blight: It will be affected by leaf blight and spots will appear on the leaves, so the diseased leaves should be removed in time and sprayed with carbendazim for disinfection and prevention.

2. Rust disease: After the disease occurs, rust-like spots will appear on the leaves. The reason for this is improper management and the lack of nutrients in the soil. Therefore, the diseased leaves should be removed in time and management should be strengthened, and some fertilizers should be applied appropriately. You can use diniconazole or ammonium sulfate for spraying.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be raised outdoors?: It can be raised outdoors, and it has certain economic value. When breeding, it is necessary to master reasonable maintenance methods so that it can grow better and have higher economic value.

2. Is it edible? It is edible and has nutritional value.
