What is the pear tree?

What is the pear tree?

1. What kind of tree is it?

There are generally two types of pear wood. One is Hainan sandalwood, which is mainly produced in Hainan and grows in mountain forests. The other is the rosewood, which is mainly distributed in the area south of the Yangtze River in my country. It is also cultivated in some other parts of my country, such as Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, Vietnam and other regions.

2. Tree Introduction

1. Hainan sandalwood is a tree that can usually grow to around 9-16m. Its bark is dark grey with grooves, its leaves are papery, 3-5.5cm long, and oval or elliptical. There are short soft hairs on the young branches, and also on the leaf rachis and petioles.

2. The rosewood is also a kind of tree. It grows higher, usually to about 16 meters. Its bark is smooth with shallow cracks and is grey-green in colour. Its twigs and leaf axes are densely covered with fine hairs. The leaves are oval or oblong-oval, with a length of about 4.3-13.5cm, but can sometimes grow up to 17cm.
