How to raise Pinus wenyuensis

How to raise Pinus wenyuensis

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: Vinca needs to be planted in soil with good drainage. It can be prepared with leaf mold, garden soil and river sand in a ratio of about 1:2:1. Adding appropriate amount of decomposed animal manure as base fertilizer can provide a good nutritional environment for its growth.

2. Light: Pinus armeniaca grows best in a semi-shady environment. It can be placed indoors in a place with diffuse light. Do not expose it to sunlight for a long time, let alone excessive exposure to the sun, as this will cause the leaves to turn yellow.

3. Watering: When watering the Vinca, pay attention to controlling the amount of water. Overwatering can cause root rot, while underwatering can cause leaves to turn yellow. Generally, water it after the soil is dry, so as to keep the soil in the pot moist for a long time.

4. Fertilization: Vinca has low demand for fertilizer. Liquid fertilizer can be applied 1-2 times a month during the growing season, but the concentration should not be too high. Do not apply fertilizer after the plant has taken shape, otherwise it will affect its appearance.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Sowing: Vinca can be propagated by sowing. Generally, seeds are collected and dried in December and then sown in spring. The temperature is kept at around 20-25℃ and they will germinate 20-40 days after sowing.

2. Division: The division method requires large plants that are more than 4 years old and can be carried out in spring and autumn.

3. Pest and disease control

If Wensong is properly maintained, it will rarely be prone to diseases and pests. Because its stems are relatively tender, pests do not easily attach to it. If proper fertilizer is applied on a daily basis, the plant will also have good disease resistance.
